Seems to be a good quality melatonin supplement
I have a very hard time reviewing most nutritional supplement products because it is so difficult to determine efficacy. For me, with this product it is impossible, as the few times I’ve used it I did not notice a dramatic effect. Whether it had some effect I am not entirely sure. But I may be an atypical case: I keep very odd hours on a super flexible schedule. This means that when I get a surge of productive energy can be any time of day or night, which also means that I can crash (take naps) also at any time of day or night.Typically I’ll sleep maybe four hours, twice a day. One hope I had was that this product could make me drowsy regardless of my energy level so it could impose a more normal sleep schedule when needed, for example if I have scheduled appointments the next day so I need a good night’s sleep.The above is probably too tall an order for any product, I admit, to normalize such an odd schedule. On the few occasions I used this product I think it probably lowered my energy level toward drowsiness, without necessarily getting there. Could I have tried two pills instead of one? Not according to the label which says to not exceed the recommended dose, one pill. Being cautious I followed the directions, though as a 230 lb healthy man, with no particular health risks, I think that likely a double dose would have been safe and might have knocked me out. I won’t try because I want to follow directions to a tee.Everything about the packaging and labeling suggests a high quality product, and good quality control. I expect it does contain the ingredients claimed. The label says it is made in the USA, a believable claim since everything on the label is written in proper English. One indicator of foreign or counterfeit products is the use of butchered English words and phrases. With none of that, this product appears to be a quality product that lives up to its claims. For that reason I rate it five stars, despite that I did not notice a dramatic drowsiness the few times I’ve used it. As they say, your mileage may vary. The one pill recommended dosage I suspect is based on the lowest common denominator; perhaps a child or small adult. I wonder if they should have made the recommended dose based on kg of body weight? Perhaps then two pills would have been acceptable and would have knocked me out.

Melatonin pills typically contain between 1 mg and 10 mg, with 3 mg to 5 mg being common for adults. It is best taken about 30-60 minutes before bed time. Although more not nessacerily means better results it is not uncommon for people to take more then one pill. Higher doses can cause side effects like headaches, dizziness or groggines the next day. Although I did not experience any of these side effects while using it, I also did not use it night after night. I take it with me when sleeping in hotels (bad sleep first night). So long story short… pills are working fine but are most likely a higher doses than I need.

Nothin’ but melatonin’.
This is good quality high strength melatonin, and as such, I’ve only been talking half a capsule each night, and it’s working great for me without any side effects in the month I’ve been taking them.These work well for my needs, helping with getting to sleep, I don’t need help staying asleep.Since they’re capsules, they’re a bit harder to evenly split in half than a tablet, but it’s not too much work and unlike other capsules – the powder doesn’t taste bad at all, so I just take it without having to re-capsule.Great value for half a year, or in my case a year’s ability to get to sleep quicker.

Wayyyy too high dosage for most
I wanted to like this because the formula is simple, clean, and the brand does a decent job highlighting third-party testing and manufacturing standards. It’s also nice to see a product without a bunch of unnecessary fillers or additives.That said, the dosage is what made this a no for me. At 20 mg per capsule, this is extremely high for melatonin. Most people do well with much lower doses, and I found this to be too much for regular use. It felt like overkill, and I wasn’t comfortable taking something that strong nightly. Especially since I was not waking up feeling at all rested.To be fair, this could be useful for occasional situations like travel or a major sleep disruption, but as an everyday supplement, it just doesn’t align with what I’m looking for.Overall, not a terrible product quality-wise, but the dosage makes it impractical for me, so I won’t be continuing with it.

Effective
Ive been using another brand of melatonin, as needed, as a sleep aid for quite some time. When this one popped up, I thought I’d give it a try. The capsules are an easy to swallow size. Im used to flavored dissolving tablets which I though were supposed to hit you faster, but I find these pills just as effective. The quality of sleep, and length of sleep is every bit as good as with my previous brand.Overall there are a high quality, effective option. I’d buy these again.

Great natural way to get to sleep

I use these along with turning off electronics about 15 minutes before bed and I am out like a light so soon after.Since these were purchased, the price has been reduced so you can get a 2 pack for $22.36.Overall, I am happy for this alternative to some of the other non-healthy ways some people try to get to sleep.
